Kinomonda kicks off Fall 2018 with a film from Iran.  Bashu speaks Gilacki, a Caspian language more related to Armenia or Georgia than to Iran.  The film follows his life in Iran and his friendship with an Iranian woman, though we are not sure how he comes to find himself alone in this world.  Bashu, The Little Stranger is thoughtful film that both expands our lens on diversity in Iran and further clarifies the importance of a humanitarian response to issues facing migrants and other at-risk populations.
